If you’ve ever felt like your body just won’t cooperate with your weight loss efforts, take a second look at your refrigerator before blaming your genetics.  How much processed and sugary food is there compared to fresh and preservative-free options?  Each time we eat “food” that has little nutritional value and even worse, contains poisons that disrupt the body’s ability to function smoothly, we add stress.  Instead of being angry and frustrated, shouldn’t we actually be amazed and grateful that our bodies continue to work at all?

Give your body a break.  Start incorporating clean eating habits into your daily life, and you may just find that the weight will start dropping off without you having to try so hard!

Being real is so much easier than being perfect!

There is a recurring theme in my thoughts.

I’m not perfect.

I’m not exact.

I’m not polished.

I never feel fully accomplished in anything I do.

This isn’t self deprecating.   It’s self awareness.

In this regard I feel the same way I did as a younger version of me, and have consistently felt this way all of my life.

But the interesting thing is that as I’ve grown my feelings towards this recurring theme have changed.

I’m not perfect.

I’m not exact.

I’m not polished.

I never feel fully accomplished in anything I do.

These things aren’t bad things.  They just are.

They don’t stop me.  They may have paused me a time or two in my life.  But stop me?  No.

These things are truths.  These truths aren’t bad.

I’ve kind of grown fond of being Imperfect.  Inexact.  And unpolished.

I sat across from almost a century.

A century embedded into one reality.

He was small in stature.

I felt at once

That I towered over him

And yet

Was dwarfed by his existence.

He lived life through things we will never understand

Or know.

I am in awe of the life

And the age.

In one of my posts from yesterday, I spoke about worry. Well, I know a worry we all have is one about our health. Sometimes, people get caught up on focusing on how much they weigh. I went through it, and sometimes I still think about it. What I have found though through research, and following some empowering, & beautiful women on social media is that it is more important how you feel than what that scale says.

A few of the fitness accounts I follow feature women who weigh a certain amount in a before picture, and then in their after picture, they weigh more than the first picture, but they are more toned, and look healthier.
